Morton's Baby Fund

My name is Kayla and I'm a mother of three. In 2009 my sister met what is now her husband. In 2010, 2013 and 2016 my sister and brother in law were blessed with 2 nieces and a nephew. They couldn’t have been happier. They love my children with all their hearts and want to spend time with them every chance they get. It is a requirement, I send a snap chat daily, so she can see them. In college and beyond she has helped support St. Jude Children's hospital.  She's dedicated her life to work with families who need support and gets donations to help these families. My sister and brother in law would give the shirts off their back to help a family or child in need. My sister was in a sorority and my brother in law in a fraternity. Through their four years in college, they provided support to the community and others in need.

In 2014 my baby sister married the love of her life. Shortly after they started trying for a baby. They tried for months before finding out they could not conceive naturally. They were bounced from doctor to doctor trying to find the reason behind this. They finally found a fertility doctor and discovered in 2016 that they would need medical intervention to become parents.

After each appointment there was hope and disappointment. They found out, that not only would they need medical intervention to have a baby, but they would need in vitro to conceive a bundle of joy. This came with happiness knowing they could still have a bay, but with disappointment on how much it would cost to become parents.

As young girls, I remember my sister and I talking about having kids. I wanted 2 girls and 2 boys, she want 1 girl and 1 boy. That dream still holds true, however, she wants nothing more than being a mother and he wants to become a father. In September of 2016 what seemed like a dream come true, turned out to be another obstacle in their path to becoming parents. She lost her place in an infertility medical trial she was part of due to some trial drug reactions concerns, after having the eggs  were retrieved. Due to these medical concerns she wasn’t allowed to go any further in the trial. They had paid $4,000 three weeks prior, to participate in the trial.  As well as thousands of dollars prior to the trial. This dream was so close, yet so far way.

There are no words that can express the sadness that has run through our family. For those of you who are parents, you know the joy and excitement to see your child grow. Watching them take their first steps to leaving for college. This is the joy that everyone who wants to be a parent should enjoy.

I am starting this go-fund me page to help support my sister and brother in-law. This money will be used to help cover the cost of medical treatments and care that comes with having a baby. Two kind, caring, and loving individuals, need our help. They have helped my family and we want to help support their dreams. I know the happiness when you hold your baby for the first time. I want to help them experience this for the first time. I ask you to think about the time you held your child for the first time. I ask you to help my sister and her husband on this journey, to becoming parents.
