Sherry Ramsey's Breast Cancer Bills
Donation protected
Hi everyone!,
My name is Thomas Hereford and I am raising money for my lovely wife Sherry. She had a very tough year the last couple of years, medically and emotionally, and I would like to help her "catch a break".
Earlier in the year last year she had a hysterectomy due to excessive bleeding issues she had been experiencing for about a yearand a half or so. During her medical leave associated with her hysterectomy operation she was "let go" by her employer about two weeks before she was scheduled to return. Later in the year she was diagnosed with breast cancer after finding a small lump in one of her breast during a self exam. She chose to have a double mastectomy to minimize the chance of the cancer returning. She went through about four months of chemo and the associated side effects all while continue to work at her new place of employment. (Just a side note: I want to personally thank Park Place Motorcars in Arlington for their understanding and flexibility in working with Sherry regarding her schedule during her chemo treatments. They have been wonderful through her ordeal.)
I am happy to say that my lovely wife is currently cancer free and has been through her breast reconstruction process. She is getting stronger each day, but is experiencing some acute pain in her left arm and shoulder area. She recently had an MRI to find the source of the pain, but unfortunately it did not provide any conclusive results. She has been advised by her cancer doctor that she will now have to see an Orthopedic doctor.
Sherry has been a strong and courageous woman through this ordeal and I would like to help her even more financially wise. Since she had to switch her insurance company, due to being let go by her employer after her hysterectomy, we had to fulfill a new annual deductible and annual out of pocket expense in addition to the chemo treatments extending into 2016 which resulted in a new annual deductible and annual out of pocket expense which ultimately resulted in more bills than initially expected.
Any help, no matter how large or small would be deeply appreciated. I am doing this on Sherry's behalf without her knowledge. I know she would be extremely thankful as she is the type of woman that is always willing and quick to help others when they need it. I would like for her to experience the feeling that she has given to many others.
Thank you
