The Produce Project is a small 501c(3) in Raleigh, NC that is making a big impact.  Since January of 2016, we have given over 6,000 lbs of fresh produce to families in need in Raleigh.  We have a website, and we sell shares of produce on the site for $16 each.  Then, one day per week, we buy as much produce as we can and people come pick up the shares from a central, downtown location.  We buy in bulk and sell at cost, and families get a TON of food for the money.  I'm attaching a picture of a recent share so you can see for yourself.

We want to expand to multiple days and multiple pickup locations.  One of our business partners, a local farmer in Raleigh, has agreed to sell us a refrigerated box truck for $8,000.  We have raised $2,000 so far.  We need to raise $6,000 more, and we have until October 7th to raise the money.  The farmer has agreed to wait til then to put the truck on Craigslist.

We have given over 6,000 lbs of produce to families in need in Raleigh with one pickup day per week.  If we can quadruple our pickup days with a truck, we can quadruple our impact.  Imagine putting 24,000 lbs of healthy produce on the table for families in need in Raleigh by this time next year.  Please help us!
