Trying to find a decent place to live is difficult these days, and my roommates and I have been struggling to find a safe apartment for some time. In June, we were set to move everything out of our old apartment, but I ended up in the hospital before we could.

After a week of hospitalization, we were being charged several hundred dollars for every day we weren't out of the apartment. I had to continue recovering after release, and we fell behind significantly. I lost money on a place we were promised, and we're currently living in a motel with our money running out.

We have about two weeks worth of money to stay in a motel, then we'll have to live in our cars until we find a place. We're looking as hard as we can, but even if we find a place now, we won't be able to afford a deposit and first month's rent, thanks to the $3000 we lost last month.

If we hadn't lost that money, we'd be in a better situation, so this is our desperate attempt to gather enough funds to afford a place, whenever we find one. It's really hot out here, and I'm afraid of ending up in the hospital again if we have to sleep in our cars for a while. Even if we don't meet the goal, every little bit will help right now.

I've been greatly blessed with the kind, helpful people in my life, and I didn't want to reach out again after everything they've done for me. However, we have to turn to every source we can to hopefully pull ourselves out of this situation.
