Help to make a dream a reality

Hello all and thanks for coming to my link. Some of you have known me for quite some time but for those of you that don't, hi I'm Lorenzo. My dream since I was young was always to become a physician. Anyone that has known me for any length of time knows this to be a fact. Medicine has always been the focus of my career. Not too long out of high school, I attended a CNA program and started my journey in medicine. I started at Lakeland Regional Medical Center and that is where my journey in medicine started. Because I wasn't the best student in high school (I went to a school that allowed me to take high school and college classes at the same time), I wasn't able to get into schools for my undergraduate. But that didn't stop me because I was determined to go for my dream. I eventually graduated with my associate's degree and from there I went to EMT/Paramedic school. Doing well in that program allowed me to go on to USF and graduate with my BS degree. Finally, I was at a point where I could start the application process for medical school. My dream was getting closer.

In May 2020, after many failed attempts, I finally got accepted into a school down in the Caribbean! My dream was now a reality. But reality has a funny way of kicking you in the teeth. The school that I got accepted into did not take US federal loans, they only took sally may personal loans. I was devastated. To be so close and have everything ripped away just hurt me soo much.

Over the past two years, I applied to different programs. I applied for certified Anesthesia assistant school and I applied to multiple Physician assistant programs but it was never really what I wanted. Yes, it would still be in medicine but it wasn't my goal. My goal was to be a physician. Now, just this month, I applied to a school that denied me before but this time they accepted me. Fall of this year I will be attending the American University of Antigua College of Medicine!! They are a fully US-accredited school and take federal loans. There is the graduate plus loan that will cover living expenses but depends on credit. And now the point of this; I can't let this second chance slip away. I need some help to take care of the outstanding bills so that I can have some kind of chance to get the graduate plus loan. Everyone knows that I hate asking for any kind of help let alone asking for money. But I can not let this opportunity pass me by again. This can help me to get my affairs in order and focus on the things that I will need for moving to the island for two years. Just know that any amount given will help me become the exceptional physician that you all know I can and will be.

Thank you all in advance.
