Josh & Brian Hathaway College Fund
Donation protected
As my family morns the loss of my 48 year old husband, Gary Hathaway, to brain cancer, it was suggested to me by a friend that loved ones might want to donate money towards my sons' college fund in lieu of funeral flowers. Flowers, although thoughtful and comforting at the time do not last long and are expensive. The money spent could be better used towards the future endeavors of mine and Gary's sons, Joshua and Brian Hathaway. We have no college savings put aside for our boys, so any amount will be a great start.
Gary began his fight with brain cancer in August of 2014. He had surgery, several chemotherapies, and radiation. Although we had a good year of clear scans, Gary has finally succumbed to it's relentless reoccurrance. Our family has been so amazed and proud of his strength and bravery during his two year fight. We are heartbroken and will miss him tremendously as we move forward together as a family. He has been an incredible role model to his children and a loving and faithful husband to me.
Gary will miss out on his youngest son's graduation from 8th grade in June. He will not get to see either son graduate from High School or College. However, Gary has always wanted his children to have opportunities to be the best they can be and succeed in what they are passionate about. Any support to help his children achieve their goals would be greatly appreciated. As a newly widowed mother, I do worry about the financial aspects of our family's future.
Joshua will not graduate from high school until 2019. Brian will be the class of 2021. I am hoping to keep this page going and have loved ones build upon it over the years to help my boys reach their dreams. Any size donation will strictly be saved for their college education and would be much appreciated now and in the future. God Bless!
