HELP TO RECOVER FROM SEIZURES DAILY

Hi, my name is Mariah and Im seeking help as I’m really scared. I’m 21 years old and have gone from being in college, majoring in anthropology, to being frequently in the hospital getting my veins blown, with no dream but to get out of bed, in just 14 months. I'm reaching out now because I am truly terrified.

For a little over a year, my health has been rapidly declining. I was diagnosed with Conversion Disorder/FND, which causes daily PNES seizures that can last anywhere from 20 minutes to 14 hours, as well as absence seizures.

 Most of these episodes leave me unable to move or speak, making even the simplest tasks feel impossible. It keeps me always on edge, I can’t walk normally, it’s hard to talk. This is added to an array of other conditions I have previously been diagnosed with, such as Multiple Sclerosis.

I feel like I’m constantly struggling to cope with a body that no longer feels like my own.

This is my constant.

The fear is suffocating, knowing that one of these episodes could strike without warning. I’ve become afraid of my own body as it makes each day feel like a countdown.

I don’t make it out too often although I try to get out as much as possible.

I went from 210lbs to 130lbs rapidly. 

I never thought I’d be in a position to ask for help, although it seems that I am in need, therefore, the funds I’m hoping to raise, will go towards my student debt to return to school, medications, therapy and other health related expenses.
