Hi, my name is Diego Hernandez, and I’ll be running the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon in Washington, D.C. in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. A half marathon is 13.1 miles, and my goal is to finish in 1 hour and 30 minutes.

I chose to run for St. Jude because of the real difference they make in the fight against childhood cancer and other serious diseases. Since opening in 1962, St. Jude has helped increase the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to over 80%. Families treated there never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food, allowing them to focus entirely on helping their child recover.

Your support helps fund the research and treatment that make those results possible. Every contribution goes directly toward saving lives and improving outcomes for kids and families who need it most.
