Lindsey's Cancer Treatment Lodging

My name is Joe Reaves and our family is seeking to raise funds for our 20 year old daughter Lindsey to reside in Dallas, Texas for a period of five weeks while undergoind radiation treatment for a brain stem tumor. We live in Tyler, Texas--about 120 miles from her treatment center. A little history: Lindsey was diagnosed with brain cancer (benign glioma on brain stem) about three years ago. Since the diagnosis her tumor has grown from the size of a pea to it's current size (walnut). She has undergone two rounds of chemo this year (2016) and two brain surgeries (one to relieve fluid build-up, the most recent to remove a cyst and some of the tumor (20%)). Now she is faced with 25 rounds of radiation treatment at UT Southwestern (Lipshy) in Dallas. These treatments will cover a period of 5 days a week for 5 weeks. She will need to reside in Dallas with her mother Cecilia for that period. At this time we are scrambling to find lodging and travel in Dallas for Lindsey and her mother. To say it will cost is an understatement. Costs for which we don't have. GoFundMe is one outlet we are reaching out to in order to raise some of the funds necessary for her to reside in Dallas for her treatment period. We do not know when the treatments will start-she is scheduled to visit her ocologist on Thursday September 22nd for a fitting of her mask (this is necessary for her treatment) and a CAT Scan. More than likely her treatments should start the next week of two.
