Mike Freitas is a father of four boys and a loving husband to Emilie Freitas. Mike is the sole bread winner and provider for his family. Mike, Emilie, and their children recently relocated from Texas to Porterville Ca, starting a new construction business to support his family. Two weeks ago Mike came down with what he thought was flu like symptoms and since has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). He began treatment for his condition at Sierra view in Porterville. Unfortunately, this medical facility was not equipped to handle Mike's condition so it required him to be transferred to Fresno Community Regional Medical Center for treatment at a larger facility with the appropriate resources. Keeping him away from his family and his job along with the frequent trips between Fresno and Porterville to support his needs this diagnosis has put an extreme financial burden on their family.
