Hey friends and family, This is difficult to write . I’ve never done one of these before as I’ve never needed to. But now I do: For my first daughter, by marriage, Hayley Gardiner. When she was 7 yrs old she lost her dad to cancer, a brain tumor, the prognosis of which was poor from day 1. Most of you know that Mike, Hayley’s dad, was my husband at the time. She spent many days lying with him in his hospital bed at our house while he was on hospice. Nothing that a 7 yr old little girl should have to go through.
Now Hayley is a mom of 2 beautiful children: Ariana and Noah. Just this week she learned that Noah, who is 7 years old, has Acute Leukemia. Over the past 5 days he has been given 3 units of blood, had a port placed, a bone marrow biopsy and a spinal tap. He is in the hospital. He received his first cycle of chemotherapy 2 days ago. His prognosis is good but he has a long road ahead with lots of chemo, more bone marrow biopsies and more spinal taps. Hayley is a single mom, has worked full time cleaning carpets while raising her children. Now she will be spending her days driving one hour way each way to the childrens hospital in Greenville. This will be her daily/routine for many months. I am hoping to help ease her financial burden with this page and the love of her extended family and friends, and from friends of Mikes and mine. I do believe that somewhere Mike knows of Hayley’s burden. Please consider a donation, whatever feels comfortable. Thank you, Susie
