Save the Musgrave Family Home

Hi my name is Marek and I am a current serving paramedic with the Queensland Ambulance Service. I have set up this fund on the behalf of Beck and Luke Musgrave. Beck thirty four years old served as frontline Paramedic for six years and Luke is still currently serving as Police Officer as he has done so for the last sixteen years. Between them have served the greater Queensland community for more than twenty years. Whilst Luke still continues to do so with great pride and satisfaction, Beck unfortunately sustained a catastrophic back injury whilst at work eighteen months ago, ultimately ending not only her Paramedic career, but life as she previously knew it. Beck underwent a failed double spinal fusion and is currently awaiting further surgery including a hysterectomy and spinal cord stimulator insertion. Becks physical long-term prognosis is grim, she is facing the potential of having to utilise a wheel chair for daily activities. As it stands she is currently unable to walk for longer than ten minutes or sit for longer than thirty minutes. Beck and Luke have three young girls Ella eleven and the twins, Paige and Indianna whom are both nine years old. Currently to make ends meet Luke works away from home leaving Beck to care for the three girls, which is near impossible as she is hardly able to care for herself. The Musgrave family are undoubtedly staring down the barrel of loosing their family home as they are unable to keep up with the financial demands of todays modern society. This fund has been set up to raise money for the Musgrave family with the intention of easing their financial burden. Beck has accepted her physical fate but is unable to accept that she will not be able to provide for her beloved girls and physically participate in their up bringing. The money that is raised will allow the Musgrave family to keep their family home and Luke return to work at his local Police station. This ultimately means Luke is able to be home more regularly allowing him to be the father and husband he so desperately wants and needs to be. The goal is to attempt to raise $100,000 hopefully significantly making a dint in the Musgrave family mortgage. Beck and Luke would never ask for help although they have helped so many others. The effort it took me to convince them to allow me to set up this fund was astronomical, to the point I told them I was going to do it despite their constant refusals of allowing me to help. Daily a paramedic prioritises their own physical and mental health second to that of their patients. Beck has continually made this ultimate sacrifice for her patients in order to ease their pain and suffering. Unfortunately in doing this, Beck has secured her own future full of pain and suffering. Please look deep into your heart to help the Musgrave family through this difficult time so they may keep what they have worked so hard for.
