Jim & Becky together against cancer

Allow me to introduce us, we are Jim and Rebecca Higbee. I've started this rally for my husband, based on encouragement from a fellow minister/friend at Rhema.
" Jim's Story "
In January 2016 Jim was diagnosed with stage IV squamous cell carcinoma of the left tonsil-nasal area. It was a shock to us because Jim is never sick, and always in good health. It started with sore throat symptoms in Nov 2015, so he was perscribed rounds of antibiotic's to no avail. Jim went to an ENT Dr. in Jan 16, the doctor did a biopsy and then ordered a pet scan, to determine what Jim was up against. Upon the Pet scan results he was refered to a oncologist, who recommended conventional chemo & radiation treatment for 35-38 sessions, Jim's felt that there were alternative treatments available. So we began immediately to look for other options. Our research and education led us to various sources, one of which was Ty Bollinger's book " Cancer step outside the box". Shortly there after Jim started these protocols. His diet consisted of organic juicing, and protein shakes w/supplements. Because of the inability to swallow food, Jim lost 65 pounds over a three to four month period.
In late June, Jim took a short term leave of absence from ministering as a full time, on staff Chaplain for GEO, a large private corporation that houses federal inmates.
In the same month Jim went for a second evaluation. This was the second pet scan after 6mo. from the first diagnoses, the good news! the results were that the cancer had not spread but was confined to the same area, Praise the Lord!
Further research lead us to a Dr. in N.C. for advanced holistic medical treatments. Dental surgery, was the next step, required by this Dr. in holistic treatments.
In late July we found a specialist in this area, that performs this type of surgery on cancer patients . This has been ongoing as I write this.
We've traveled to NC for 3 days of testing in Aug/ Sept. Jim will go back for 4 weeks of treatments soon, 5 days a week, 5-7 hours a day.
Jim needs these treatments.
Our needs, are forJim to recieve all these treatments, but they are expensive, insurance does not cover them. We'll have traveling and housing expenses, plus we have to maintain our home expenses in GA. Jim's short term disability runs out soon. With that said, this is why I felt led to share our story,
With your prayers, and support and by liking and sharing Jim's story on your Facebook page. We will unite and help Jim win the Fight the "Good Fight",
We've adopted "Good Fight" by Unspoken as our theme song, with our deepest heartfelt thank you, we know that God will Bless you with His riches and best.
