Help Sarge and Angela

Donation protected
I want to tell you about the two most amazing people in the world!

Angela is a Vet Technition who is a transplant to Southern Louisiana from Connecticut. She moved here to be with the love of her life, Aaron, affectionately known as 'Sarge'. Sarge is a firefigter with the Lafayette Fire Department in Lafayette, Louisiana. He willingly risks his life every day to save complete strangers... people like you and me. They are both funny, compasionate, and have supported me in my times of need. Now I want to do something to give back to them.

They met in Shreveport, La, and moved to Lafayette so Sarge could pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a firefighter. In May, 2015 they purchased their first house in Rayne, La. It's a modest home in a quiet neighborhood, the perfect home for them to start their family.

After suffering two miscarriages, Sarge and Angela announced that they were pregnant again in January of this year!

Baby Blaine was due at the end of August, and in July, Angela's car was totaled in an accident which forced Angela into bed rest.

Then...the flood.

Louisiana experienced a flood of historic proportions in August of this year. Many of our friends and neighbors lost everything they own.

Sarge and Angela considered themselves lucky because they only got 1 inch of water in half of their house. Their kitchen and living room were the only rooms spared from the flood. The Lafayette Fire Department stepped up, as fire departments always do, and helped tear up the floors and sheetrock from their bedrooms. They worked around the clock to get Baby Blaine's nursery back in order just in time for his arrival on September 7, 2016.

On Friday morning, September 16, Angela walked into the kitchen and noticed the floor was seeping water. A pipe in the wall busted, flooding the entire kitchen and living room area.

They were flooded again.

They made the decision to have Angela and Baby Blaine stay with Sarge's mother in Texas while Sarge returns to Rayne to repair the house.

Besides the fact that this new family cannot bond together in their home, the financial stress is begining to mount.

Angela's job does not provide maternity leave, and all of the money they saved to cover them during the first few months of Blaines life has now gone to repairing their home. Angela is faced with the difficult decision of when she needs to return to work.

In the face of all these trials, they have refused to ask for help. They are resilient. After all, they are Louisiana Strong!

My goal is to raise $2500 for this wonderful couple and their new baby so that they can feel some relief from these terrible events. Angela and Sarge need to be AT HOME TOGETHER to bond with Baby Blaine in comfort and peace. Anything you can give is greatly appreciated.

Because there are aparently scams going around due to the flooding in Louisiana, I need to provide the following information so Go Fund Me will allow this fundraiser:

I am personal friends with Sarge and Angela.
I am personally located in Lafayette, La.
The funds used in this campaign will go DIRECTLY to Sarge and Angela and will be spent on home repairs and living expenses while Angela bonds with Baby Blaine.
