Hi. My name is Chris and I am trying to raise money to pay for a surgery my cat Toulouse needs. This morning I let Toulouse in and noticed he wasn"t using his right front leg.  Upon taking him to our vet, I was informed that he had been shot not by a bb but some other projectile. He has sustained a compound fracture in his shoulder and the only options are either amputation or a surgery that requires rods and a plate to fuse the bones together. This is the second cat of ours that has had this type of injury. Our first cat was old and eventually passed away from the injury. I have filed a report with Animal Control and they will follow up with an investigation. This is so un nerving to me that I live in a neighborhood where someone feels its ok to shoot defenseless animals. I have 2 teenage boys and they are not only angry but can't rap their brain around how someone could be  so thoughtless and malicious. Toulouse is such a big part of our family and my boys and I are in shock over this. My dad, who we live with, also has a close and unique relationship with Toulouse. My dad deals with depression and Toulouse is definitely a bright spot in his life.
