Help Joel pay for elbow surgery

Hi friends, and friends of friends, and their friends. I'm in a tough spot.   I broke my elbow in the worst possible way, and have to have major surgery to fix it.   Unfortunately no orthopedists take Medi-Cal.  I will be able to play music again, though not for a while. I will not be able to straighten my arm again, and will have a host of metal apparati permanently holding my elbow together. It is important that I do this sooner than later, which is why I am asking you guys for money. It hurts to have to do this, but seeing 5 doctors in as many days explain to me that "this is the state of health care in America" I feel left with no other option. I love you all, and I hate having to ask for help, but I really need it. i am truly humbled by this experience, I want to continue playing music for all of you, it is the greatest expression of my love.

I can't believe I met my goal in only 12 hours.  I'm shocked and humbled.  I've decided to raise my goal, because I only accounted for the surgery, and not time lost or physical therapy.  I assure you I'm not being greedy, I have a long recovery road ahead of me, and am trying to lessen the strain on my incredible, amazingly supportive parents.  I really and truly love you all.  Just amazed.
