On August 21, 2016 I took to Olivia to the ER for flu symptoms and a crying that her head hurts. I mentioned that she had fallen the day before and hit her head. The Dr decided to do a CT scan just to rule out concussion. The Dr came into the room and said "Ms. Nash can you please step out here I need to show you something.... Please have a seat...." My heart fell to the ground! I just knew it was bad... he precedes to say "I am so sorry, but we found a fairly large mass at the base of Olivia's brain...." At this point my head is spinning!!! We were transferred to Nemours and had her tumor removed on the 24th. God came through along with ALL of the prayer warriors and our baby is not going to need chemotherapy! She had an Astrocytoma in her cerebellum that was the size of a large egg... My baby has done AMAZING and worked so hard! After almost a month in the hospital we are home but she still has a very long road ahead of her. She is relearning all of her motor skills and has 3 different therapies 3 times a week and will be starting home school soon. With all of this happening we have gone from a 2 income household to 1. I am now caring for Olivia full time. As we all know my husband is a hard working man but the stress of taking care of everything is killing him. We ask for any help or even a share! And most importantly keep the prayers coming!!!
