Gloria's Recovery

Donation protected
Gloria Villa graduated high school in June 2015 with an almost perfect GPA. She had been taking graphic design classes at Clatsop Community College to become a fashion designer, and working in the summer to help pay off her tution until her accident.

She was returning home after dropping off her mom when she went off of the road and lost control of the family vehicle. The police department reports that she over corrected, hit two trees, and caused the car to roll into an embankment, making her extraction difficult. The police department is still not sure what caused the accident, all we know is that she left her phone at home that morning.

First respnders were worried about brain damage, spinal injury, or internal organ damage, so LifeFight was immediatly called. Unable to land on the highway, Medix transported Gloria to Providence Seaside Hospital where she was swiftly flown to Legacy Emmanuel Hospital in Portland.

Gloria has had 5 specialists watch over her since her arrival. Thankfully, she did not sustain any of the severe injuries first responders anticipated. She did however, sustain extensive damage to her left arm, with fractures in her clavical, scapula, and humorous; fractured ribs punctured and calaspted her left lung; and she had several deep lacerations on her face. Gloria has already undergone 3 surgies, many MRI and CAT scans but doctors say that her recovery will depend on physical therapy both in and out of the hospital.

With your support, Gloria's family will not have to worry about paying all of her medical expenses.
