Dear Friends,
My dear cousin Zolti was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2013. He lives in Serbia, where treatment is limited. Doctors in Belgrade have removed the tumor immediately after diagnosis in 2013 but it came back with a vengeance this year and after receiving radiation and chemotherapy, Zolti has been told that all other options are unavailable in Serbia. The doctors have recommended to continue treatment In Turkey, where a different type of radiation called Truebeam STx is available. Zolti has received a quote of 13,000 euros for the Truebeam STx treatment and operation (the doctors in Belgrade told him that he cannot have another operation) from a cancer clinic in Turkey (http://www.santeplusgroup.com/en/).
I am setting up this Gofundme page in Zolti's name in order to help with the cost of the operation. He and his mom live from her very modest pension of about $200/mo and without the help from friends and community, it will be impossible for him to seek further treatment.
Zolti is one of the sweetest, helpful, most genuine human beings I have met and nothing would make me happier than to see him healthy again --being active and helping others, taking care of his mom, taking pictures of our little town in Serbia, and see him smile. Please keep Zolti in your Prayers <3
Love,
Kristina
