My name is Noell Powell and I am the VP of Community Service for Kappa Delta sorority at Florida State University. I'm excited to announce our fall philanthropy, Kick It with KD on Saturday, October 22, 2016! Kick It is a lifesize bubble-bump soccer tournament benefiting Children's Home Society of Florida. Children's Home Society is an amazing organization that assists children and families suffering with heartbreaking challenges. In a world where a child suffers abuse or neglect every 47 seconds, or where over 104,000 children await adoption, CHS is there to help. This philanthropy holds such a special place in my heart, as my team of assistants and I have worked with children for many years. Our goal as a sorority is to raise as much money possible for such an inspiring and worthy cause. In 2015, we were able to donate over $36,000! The much needed funds we raise allow CHS to help thousands of children and families each year. With your help, we will be able to raise more than the previous year and give Children's Home Society the opportunity to care for even more children than they already do. I know the more than 20,000 children living in dangerous homes in Florida will be more than gracious. Any donation is appreciated and no donation is too small; every dollar counts! I cannot thank you enough for you support.
