Gizmo's Recovery
Donation protected
Hello SWR friends and others! I am sure that all of you are aware of what one of our
own and very dear friend Doreen Alessi- Holmes and her husband Shane have gone through this past week with their amazing Bernedoodle Gizmo. Unfortunately Gizmo has been diagnosed with a rare heart condition that will require medications and medical care for the rest of his life. Through Doreen and Shane's total commitment to give Gizmo every possible chance to recover, they drove several hours to ensure their four legged boy could get the best possible care at Cornell University Vet Hospital. Oh and did I mention they were on a wonderful family (pups and humans) hiking trip to celebrate their 5 year anniversary. Despite what the vets at Cornell told them, their Gizmo fought back and was able to go home on Thursday. The vets at Cornell were amazing in their care of Gizmo to get him recovered enough to go home. Not to mention
, the wonderful SwissRidge family and many others coming together and lifting Gizmo up in prayer, for which the "Great Physician" heard and answered our prayers!!! No one, (including the doctors at Cornell) know how much longer Gizmo will continue to romp on this earth, but whatever time that is I know you all will join me in helping to support Doreen and Shane with the cost of vet and hospital bills, medications which have been and will continue to be tremendous! This pup has proven how strong he is, which just affirms how much he wants to stay with his humans and sister Marley. Any amount you can contribute is greatly appreciated, and of course your continued prayers and positive vibes for Gizmo's continued recovery is much appreciated. A separate public FB group has been created by Laurie McDonald but if there are others you believe would like to support, please feel free to share away! I have used the gofundme page process before and it is very safe. Although there is a fee, my contribution will be to cover the fee, so all that is raised will go 100% to Gizmo's care received at Cornell and future care. Thank you all in advance for your love and support to Gizmo and his humans Doreen and Shane!
