As you are probably all very aware the beautiful young Jade Kluske lost her exceptionally talented 3* horse Mighty Delago this week.
As fellow eventers we have all watched this incredible team go through their heartache and their triumphs to reach the peak of eventing this year, competing at her first 3* event and holding her own with Australia's best.
This was a team, without a doubt, heading for the next Olympics..! Jade started this horse from an off the track thoroughbred and trained and competed him to the elite of eventing. Any rider knows the bond that is between horse and rider...let alone at this elite level.
Unfortunately tragedy struck and after an operation a couple of weeks ago on one of Delago's teeth...it met with complications and he contracted Pneumonia and sadly this talented and brave horse lost his battle earlier this week.
The reality of trying to save this magnificent animal is an enormous vet bill. As a fellow eventer, knowing the heartbreak Jade is feeling....we are putting it out there to help with the burden of the enormous vet bill that she has incurred in trying to save her best friend.
Any contribution you can make to this absolutely worthy fund to assist Jade with both her vet bill and assisting her to rise again as one of Australia's elite young riders, will be very much appreciated.
