When the storm came through Wylie on April 11, 2016, it had a devastating effect on many families. One of the families in particular, the De La Portilla’s, were hit in a life altering way that has truly devastated their family. We would like to show our support and help walk alongside them during this season of their life.

The De La Portilla’s moved into their newly built home less than 1 year ago, and the storm destroyed over 50% of their house. The entire 2nd floor, roof and AC Units were damaged beyond repair. Part of their fence and their kids playground equipment was destroyed, and the storm totaled out both of their cars as well.

In the midst of all of this, Karolyn has helped others in the Wylie community (like collecting clothes for example). At the same time, Jose has had to travel for work purposes several times a week. This family is a pillar in the community and are extremely hard workers in every sense of the word. They exhibit strong faith and have sought the Lord through all phases of life.

I feel in my heart that now would be a great time to give back to them. If you can donate, please do so, but prayers are always welcome too. God bless you all!
