Let's get Mariah mobile!

Please help us rally behind Mariah and get her the mobility device that she needs in order to thrive!

Mariah is a beautiful, energetic, loving, and very determined little 7 yr girl! She was born with a 3rd degree heart and Ataxic Cerebral Palsy, one of the rarest forms of Cerebral Palsy. Because of the 3rd degree heart block, Mariah has a pacemaker to help her heart beat normally. The Ataxic Cerebral Palsy means that Mariah is constantly off balance and falls often. She is unable to stand or walk on her own. She uses a walker at times, but that can get very tiring and has its challenges.  When she is too tired for the walker, she uses a traditional wheelchair. 

Mariah wants to do ballet and roller skate. But how can this be possible with her current situation? The answer is a Kidwalk Dynamic Mobility System. This is a device that will help hold Mariah up allowing her to run, play and even dance independently with her peers. The only problem is that the Kidwalk is not covered by insurance. Here's where you can help! No amount is too small! By donating to this fund, you will help a little girl gain mobility and  independance, You can help her thrive and live life to the fullest! The best news is that this walker can grow with her to adulthood! It is truly a remarkable device.

Mariah was also just diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa which is a progressive form of blindness. Yes, she is losing her vision on top of all her other challenges. If there is any money left over, then that money will go toward an amazing Disney vacation where she can take in all the sights and have memories to last a lifetime! Of course, this would be done in her new Kidwalk Mobility device where she would be able to run, yes run, from ride to ride! Let's help this little girl achieve the normalcy that she deserves. 

Once the funds are received by the manufactuer, it takes about a week for them to ship it out. So, the sooner the funds are raised, the sooner Mariah can get her Kidwalk. 

Why did I set up this campaign? I am an RN by trade and know how much this will possitively affect Mariah, both mentally and physically. But more importantly, Mariah is my cousin and I have seen the determination in her eyes! Her zest for life is evident and is seen by all those who come in contact with her!
