Hello im part of a group called Care and Compassion for Bals shelter Dogs, we rescue dogs that have been dumped in a killing shelter in Romania.

Our attention was brought to this boy George, he was dumped at the gates of the shelter by his heartless family, terrified and in 40 degrees temperature with no water or food, dumped like a piece of trash.

The staff found him and put him in a pen, but he was so scared he cowered in the corner trying to make himself invisible. We quickly got him out of there with the help from wonderful members and got him safely to a lovely foster in Romania.

But sadly poor George became sick he was so weak and emaciated his body was giving up, he tested positive for Corona so he was immediately transferred to a clinic where he received infusions and plasma. George did pick up and started to eat so we had hope for him.

Sadly after a few days he went downhill quickly, he was severely anaemic and positive for anaplasma and ehrlichia. He immediately received a blood transfusion and put back on infusions and medication.

George is now fighting to survive but he is fighting and we cant give up on him now, we feel he deserves a chance to live, after a terrible start to life we want to show him that not all humans are bad.

But as a group with already many debts and unsponsored dogs we are struggling to continue to help George. His daily vet treatment/food and care is €75 a day. We managed to pay his first treatment bill of €600 but now we will be facing a much larger bill and we are struggling, but we cant give up on George his sad face and eyes are asking for help.

If anyone could help sweet George for any small amount we would be so grateful. We are desperate to help George, we cant give up on him now.
