Hi my name is Richard and l am a very close friend of the family. With the permission of Mike her husband l have been allowed set up a GoFundMe page for the Brown family to tell their story.
As may of you know or maybe don't know the Brown family suffered a major lost to their Family that was simply put not expected. On Aug 29th Jen was call home to heaven for reason we may never ever know or understand. I know a lot of people would like to do something to help this family out but just don't know what to do which is why l have set this page up. Here is a brief background as to what happened and what this family is faced with. Jen was admitted off and on into the hospital over a 5 week period, she never left the hospital in her final two prior to her sudden passing. What was supposed to be a simple operation to help with bowel issue turned into the worst possible and unforseen outcome.
This family has not been able to catch a break over the last two years. Her husband Mike was diagnosed with rectel cancer about 15 months ago and therefor has not been cleared to return to work, something we don't know if ever will happen which is going to make it very hard for him to provide for his 2 boys, pay all the bills and try and live as normal a life as they can. Jen was his rock, running him back and forth to London for chemo and radiation treatment every day 5 days a week, incuring huge expense during this time period. Jen was everyones rock, always having an ear for anyone and everyone and still to this day we wonder how she ever did it all. Another thing that happen to this family is there oldest son was admitted to the hospital with appendicitis and was in and out of the hospital with issue from the surgury about 2 1/2 months ago. My reason for telling you this is too explain how the last 16 months has been and now they must carry on with a major part of there family pie broken. During this time the expense continued to build up so all monies rasied will be used to help pay those exisiting bills and also in the day to day bills that as we know don't stop and simply to help the family survive until Mike is able to work again which again might not happen.
Any help we can give this family through this diffcult time would be greatly appriecated. For everyone that knew Jen personaly, you all know she would help anyone and never turned a friend or at times a stranger away if she could help. She was the type of person that would give you the last $20 in her wallet to you and say "pay it back when you can... no worries". She would give the shirt off her back to help people which was very evident in her job. So this is why l am doing this, simple to give back to them what Jen gave to us and to help them get through this terrible time. They say time heals all wounds.. well l am hoping we can help make that healing a little easier...RIP sweet Jen and thank you to everyone who donates
