Joey Kretschmar Memorial Fund

It’s with a heavy heart I write this, as a cousin and a friend of Joey's. Yesterday, Joey passed away unexpectedly. He had recently moved down to Miami with his new daughter Kaliya and beautiful girlfriend Eliza to begin a new chapter and raise their baby girl close to their families. No one can ever be prepared for something like this, and it’s hard to put into words what everyone is going through, but we are finding peace in knowing he is in a happy place with God, watching over us all.

Joey was a one-of-a-kind soul. He was special, he was caring, he was kind. He was so passionate about being a new father and building a family with Eliza. He was prepared and excited to take care of his new family, and to support and be the breadwinner for Eliza and Kaliya in this new chapter of their lives.

This means so much to Joey's family and we are so grateful for everyone who has reached out and shared their stories and memories. Joey has touched so many people and his beautiful soul and smile will live on through each and every one of us, and most importantly in his amazing daughter Kaliya.
