Phyllis Mozingo Fund

This page has been created to help Phyllis Mozingo. She was hospitalized on August 31, 2016. She had been to the Doctors for 3 weeks with what they thought was cyst on her leg. When she got to the Emergency Room she found out she had an infection and it wasn’t good. She found out she was septic and her blood pressure was in the low 90’s and she was in pain but they were unable to give pain medications because of her pain. They took her into surgery the next day to open up her wounds and clean them out. We found out she had Necrotizing Fasciitis which is a flesh eating bacteria. She came out of surgery and stayed on a ventilator for a week in the ICU. Phyllis has been in Rescue for over 30 years, she is currently the EMS Captain of Mount Olive Emergency Services. She was working with Johnston Ambulance Service (JAS) which closed and went out of Business on August 31, 2016. So Phyllis found out she was really sick and lost her job all on the same day. Currently, she is still at Wayne Memorial Hospital awaiting to be transferred to a facility that can handle her wound care. We have started this page to try and raise money to help her with her financial expenses along with medical bills. Phyllis served her community for over 30 years in Rescue and now she needs our help. If you can help out that would be greatly appreciated.

God Bless You All.
