Ik and Ngozi, We Stand By You.
Donation protected
Ik and Ngozi have lost their little boy. Their kids and our kids have lost a brother. We have all lost a gem.
Kamsi and his mom Ngozi were on their way to wish grandma "Happy Birthday." Kamsi had been looking forward to this day, and shared his excitement with everyone at school. Unfortunately, their journey ended in tragedy. "He didn't survive." Painful words from Kamsi's own mother, Dr. Ngozi Akabudike, a trauma surgeon herself at University of Maryland who works tirelessly to save trauma victims.
Words cannot express the grief of the family. As a community, we mourn with them and want them to know that we stand by them. Funeral expenses will be handled by friends and well-wishers. Additional funds will be used to help with replacing the wrecked vehicle.
This fundraising effort is a gesture of love and support to two extraordinary human beings, Ik and Ngozi Akabudike. We pray for God's grace to bear this painful loss.
