We are purchasing an RV as our new home!
This past month we learned our home of 4 years is needing to be vacated. This has been a beloved home of nourishment, community, healing and love. As well as lovingly low rent. We will miss it and send blessings to its new tenants, Jenny and Gary!
I have long realized that we do not fit the mainstream 1st, last, damage, etc. requirements of renting. The unexpectedness of this move has Sage and me reevaluating our goals and dreams.
At 16, Sage is choosing to homeschool again for his sophmore year. He is enrolled at Philomath High school in a welding class for the first trimester of 2016.
It is important to Sage for the Corvallis area to be home base for the next few years. Living a mainstream life, Corvallis is an expensive homebase.
I still have steady work at the farm for another few months. We both desire to travel for parts of the year. This winter seems a good time to start. I have fond memories of National parks and museums, friends and relatives we visited when I was a child. I want to create memories with Sage and offer an incredible homeshooling opportunity at the same time.
So we desire a home which is also an RV, a homeschool classroom, and a playspace. This will create lower overhead while in Corvallis. And, offer freedoms and the capability of travels we would not have with a lease. We are seeking a sum to get an RV, fairly quickly, and get it set up with insurance and any fixings. We also realize there may be some unforseeables in the near future expecially around homeschooling needs.
