Crownpoint Student to Boston Academy

Hello Friends and Family,
One of my 8th grade students has recently been accepted into Cushing Academy, a prestigious summer college preparation program in Boston, MA. This is an extraordinary opportunity for her as she will benefit from expanding her worldview, exploring a college setting, gaining important college entrance information, and interacting with many students from other walks of life; she will also bring the perspective of a strong Native American woman to the program. As I see this student's academic strengths, incredible work ethic, and socially just mindset in my class on a daily basis, I believe she will use the knowledge she brings back from Cushing Academy to empower others in her school and community.

Although this student's costs of living and tuition will be covered by the Cushing Academy scholarship, her travel expenses for a day trip into Boston ($315), and confirmation deposit ($100), spending money ($500) and gofundme service fees ($65) will not be included. In total, she needs $980 to cover the additional costs of Cushing Academy's Summer Program. Her single parent family does not have the means to cover these costs. A donation of any portion to cover the additional costs of my student's trip from you would be greatly appreciated.
