Lady Erika de Atayde is a good friend of mine, an excellent creative force and a lovely companion. A fan of sci-fi, an independent director of audiobooks, and a trans woman fleeing a country she’s lived in all her life because of its ballooning amount of trans homicides.
Erika is one of my best friends, and she wishes to live in the United Kingdom because she feels safe and loved by her online friends living there. Erika crunched the numbers and told me a visa, as well as basic living expenses, would amount to $6,500 or thereabouts. I will be donating $200 to her personally. It’s the least I can do to help.
Erika, knowing her, would be extremely appreciative and giddy about any amount of support for her escape from a country imploding with hatred for many on its LGBTQ+ citizens.
