Hope was diagnosed with hydrops, umbillical cord insufficiency with growth restriction along with downs syndrome in utero. Doctors had mom and dad planning for a funeral. She was born without a heartbeat but came to life on her own because God wanted this little girl to live. She is fighting failure to thrive and she is in heart failure at 6 weeks of age due to a congential heart defect. She has to have major cardiac surgery at 7 weeks of age. Mom and dad are fighting but Hope is fighting much harder because she wants to grow up to be a sweet little girl and run around the backyard and explore and grow. Medical bills are coming in faster than we can manage since mom is a college graduate and in debt already. Mom and dad just want to provide a roof over our babies head and be able to put food in the fridge, but life has come down hard and we are in a position where we can't do this on our own and we need help. Mom and dad work full time but we don't make nearly enough to pay medical expenses. Hope's medical care began in utero with cardiologist and maternal fetal medicine specialists and after she was born she spent 4 of her 6 weeks of life in the NICU. We are praying for relief during this hard time and anything people can do to help is a blessing and you would be contributing to saving this sweet little girl's life.
