Care for Colombia 2017

Hi there,

Please take a moment to watch the above video, which will update you on my travels abroad, along this teaching journey I've been on since mid-2013.  

I am currently in Santiago de Chile teaching Business English to corporate professionals for the remainder of 2016.  As I wrap-up in the next 3-months, I'll be preparing for my next teaching location... Colombia 2017!

I have decided to volunteer again, as an English teacher. This time, I'll be working with the local Colombian government through a countrywide initiative to make Colombia bilingual by 2020.  There are governmental schools (SENA) placed all over the country that offer lower-income students, who've graduated high school, the opportunity to learn a  skill or trade.  Those who successfully complete the program are guaranteed employment. All participants are required to learn English, which is where my involvement comes into play.

I will be volunteering for (1) year and will be completing a 2-week orientation in Bogota, Colombia in early January. Thereafter, I will be sent to one of the SENA locations (TBD)  depending upon specific needs and volunteer timeframes.

I am seeking financial assistance to aid me along the process of successfully completing this volunteer assignment. Your contribution will help me with international transportation, health & safety measures, and minimal funds to offset other living expenses throughout the year.
