My family and I have set this page up on behalf of my brother, Kevin Hostetler, and his family - his wife, Dulcie, and their 8 kids, ranging from ages 1 - 21.
Last week, on August 3rd, Kevin endured a horrific accident. While working as a mechanic on a Blackhawk helicopter for the National Guard, the Blackhawk was moved and rolled over his leg. He has suffered multiple broken bones, fractures, and large gashes and reinjury to his MCL. He has gone through several surgeries with many more to come. He faces a long, long road of rehab.
With his injuries, his career is at risk since his civilian and military careers are closely tied. This would make a transition in civilian career exceedingly difficult.
Many of you have asked what more you can do beyond praying - and your prayers have been life changing as we have witnessed every day since the accident! So we have set up this GoFundMe page to help support Kevin and Dulcie's long road of rebuilding their lives. While medical bills will be mostly covered, it will be quite some time before Kevin is able to get back into the work force to support the family's basic needs, with workmans comp only covering a fraction of what they will need.
Your generosity of prayers and requests to support are overwhelming in all the beautiful ways! Please know that even the "small" amounts can be multiplied into overflows. We thank you from the depths of our being for your love, care, and support in all its many forms.
