Habitat for Humanity: Vietnam

Hi, my name is Lexi Kerr. This coming summer, I was planning to the Dominic Republic for service trip; but, as a result of circumstances out of my control, I was not able to obtain a place in the trip. Thus, unfortunately, I will not being to the Dominican Republic. Despite this change, I will be going to Hoa Binh, Vietnam from May 11 to May 26. These sixteen days will be spent in service to the Vietnamese people of Hoa Binh through Habitat for Humanity. As I, along with a group of people from around the world, will be building homes. Although I am sad that I will not be going to the Dominic Republic, I am very excited to spend time serving the people of Vietnam. I am also excited to be learn about their divergent culture and loving people. Also, I am overjoyed to be able to help people know that they have personal dignity and worth! Vietnam is a beautiful country filled with beautiful!
