A Celebration of Life - Jackie Gray

As many of you may know, Jackie Gray, a dear Quinnipiac student passed away tragically this summer. Jackie was an inspiration to many in her hometown of Milford, Massachusetts as well as at Quinnipiac University where she would have started her sophomore year just a few short weeks ago.
One of Jackie’s passions was dance. Since she was a young girl she danced and later taught at Express studios in her hometown of Milford, Mass. When she arrived at Quinnipiac she was able to continue dancing when she made the IceCats dance team. All her hard work , passion, joy, and skill was now there for her to share at the collegiate level.
Being one of Jackie’s good friends (or you could say roommate if you’d like), I am also a lifelong dancer but on another Quinnipiac dance team. We often talked about how it would be nice to bring all the different dance teams and spirit groups together in some way since we always performed separately.
My roommates and I are very excited to announce that we are currently organizing a dance showcase in Jackie's honor. Dance organizations on campus will come together and perform like Jackie and I once talked about, with every piece in the show dedicated to celebrating her life. It will be a fun and upbeat tribute to a young woman who was taken from us too soon.
We are asking for donations to help defray some of the costs associated with the production of the show. A scholarship in Jackie’s name is also being discussed. Any amount whether its large or small will be greatly appreciated.
The showcase, "A Celebration of Life Dedicated to Jackie Gray" will take place in the Burt Kahn Gym at Quinnipiac University on Saturday November 5th at 3:00pm. We hope to see you there! Thank you for your support for our event it means so much!
