Friends and Family, Siera and Jordan were on a cruise (prepaid with extra work, Hospice Care, Siera did this year) this week to celebrate thier first year of marriage. While in Grand Cayman, Jordan had arranged for her to accomplish a bucket list item...Ride and "swim" with a horse in the water, (true irony IS that her horses won't go near our lake.) Unfortunenately before entering the water the horse threw her off (somersalt, head first) and then he trampled her left arm.
She stated that her pain was a 12 on a 1-10 scale. All she could do was lay there in the sand and pray to GOD that she was not paralized since everything was in excrutiating pain from the neck down. No-one would move her for fear of that. As they waited for Emergency Workers the tide was rising and when water began to wash over her face and painfully remove the sand from beneath her Jordan had to pull her away from the surf. She was taken to a hospital for testing. Praise the Lord it showed no permanent damage.
However, they missed the ship and are now in the Cayman Islands on thier own. She is still battling pain and they have maxed out their credit card upon hospital check out, $2,100. We were advised by our Dr. to give her 48 hours to allow the body to heal some before taking a long trip in a pressurized airplane. These unbudgeted items for hotel, taxis, food, Int'l. communication, and unplanned airplane tickets, (Cayman to Houston $900) to get them home on Saturday are adding up quickly.
This has created a financial burden for the young couple as all these are unforeseen expenses. If you are able to assist help them financially I am certain it would be a blessing. However, Your continued prayers are the most valueable gift to all of us at this time. Thank you!
Praising our Lord Jesus Christ for his many Blessings!
