Can it be true? Is Mr El Mehdaoui retiring?
After 39 years at the Lycée Rochambeau, the CPE who touched so many students, the soul man of the French School, that masterful story-teller, Abdul for some, Abdelkrim for others, and Mr. El Mehdaoui for most, the one person you always wanted to see when you returned for a visit, yes, that young man has decided to retire.
Because I know many alumni spread far and wide wish to write a personal note and contribute towards a gift, we’ve set up an easy way to do this, with the networking support of the Association des Anciens Elèves du Lycée.
Mr. El Mehdaoui’s been talking about taking up biking, so that’s what we’ll get him—a bike with all the gear! But shhhh! This part’s a surprise.
He hopes to see as many alumni as can make it to his farewell Wine & Cheese, held at the cafétéria du lycée on Friday, September 30th at 5pm.
