In Memory of Baby June
My grandson was born August 15th, three months early weighing in at 1 pound 14 ounces. He surprised everyone with his strength and will to live. My daughter and her fiancé stood by his side day and night their love for him growing with every breath he took. Baby June took a turn for the worse last week and developed what the doctors think was Necrotizing enterocolitis, a disease that causes the intestines to die, he was taken into surgery. During the surgery his liver was nicked with a surgical clamp and they had to stop to control the bleeding. The next day he went into surgery and don't they removed half his intestines and again had to stop to try to control the bleeding from his liver. His outcome was grim and the Dr told them they were doing their best but his chance for survival wasn't good. And yet again this little guy surprised everyone with his will to survive and the bleeding stopped. We all rejoiced hoping that he was going to overcome all the obstacles ahead of him. That day the whole family came together as one, in law's, ex's step kids and friends, all the hatred and anger we all felt for each other at one time disappeared as we all came together as one family to stand with this little guy. Yesterday morning he went in for his third surgery and they discovered all his intestines had died, there was nothing they could do but keep him alive long enough for his parents to say goodbye. I'm asking all my friends and family to please donate whatever they can to help with the cost of the burial and services for this special baby boy who brought us so much joy in such a short time and who reunited a family and reminded us that sometimes life is just to short and that we always need to be their for each other.
