Barry's left leg was severely lacerated on Tuesday, August 29th from a ten foot fall at a local scrap yard. He was flown to Barnes Hospital with trauma and severe blood loss. Since then, he's had another surgery and multiple issues with infection. The medications needed to continue his treatment total over $2,000 and his insurance won't cover the cost. He has been ordered by the doctor to only work as necessary and to keep his leg elevated or the wound won't heal. Unfortunately, the wound has kept him from working as he'd like and the reoccurring infections keep him at Barnes for continued treatment. He has always worked and given selflessly to provide for not only his own family, but to others he has seen in need. Now his sacrifices and kindness can be reciprocated in his own time of need...
