My daughters boyfriend Jake Rix , 18 who has become a very special part of my family recently received the phone call that we all dread, "you need to get to the hospital, it's Mom". It was quickly made clear that over the next few days Stacey's oldest son Zack, 23  and Jake had to make the decision no kids at this point in there life should have to make.. Stacy was taken off of life support and passed on Tuesday August 12. The two boys along with their youngest brother Cody ,12 will not only have to say goodbye to their mother but they are also left with the huge responsibility of paying to lay Stacey to rest.

There is of course more to the story that the family has given me permission to share with you.. Stacey is only 45 years old, she has fought the disease of addiction for many years. She recently enrolled in a treatment program. Because this disease has had such a major impact on the lives of these boys they have decided it's only the right thing to do; any money is raised over the amount that it cost to bury their mother will be donated to help other struggling adddicts to get the help they so desperatly need.

Stacey's services will be held Thursday, August 18 at 4 pm aMacKinnon Funeral Home.

There is no amount too small, let's show there is still good in this world and help these boys with this enormous burden so that they can focus on what's really important here, helping each other and Stacey's mother and sister and so many others who loved her through this very tragic time.
