The minute we met Hazel we fell in love. She's the pup we’ve been hunting for years. She’s sweet, whip smart, mellow and loving. She lays on her back and loves being cradled like an infant. She loves love.

And somewhere in the short time since we adopted her, she contracted Parvo - a deadly virus with a 91% mortality rate if untreated.

With advice from our vet, we admitted Hazel to the NW Animal Hospital where she’s stayed in quarantine for the past week. The cost was prohibitive but the doctors assured us that she’d have a quick stay, so we rolled the dice to save baby Hazel.

Nearly a week later, she’s hanging in there, but barely. The medical bills are soaring with funds we don’t have. And at this point we’re too invested in her health to just let go. We’re in a rock and a hard place.

So we come to you, humbly with hat in hands, asking for some neighborly welfare. Some family help. We feel weird going this route, we’ve never asked for any help before. We’re just at a loss.
