The Decathlon is a world class sporting event that stands on three pillars: athletics, philanthropy, and networking; Industry leaders in the Boston market compete in a modified one day Decathlon that resembles the NFL combine to raise money for pediatric cancer research at Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

The Decathlon celebrates the brilliance of amateur athletes through world-class sporting events measured by the economic and philanthropic impact.
Background
Since 2009, post-collegiate executive athletes ages 22-67 representing over 300 businesses have conquered The Decathlon's 10 events testing speed, strength, agility, and endurance, raised over 6 million dollars for pediatric cancer research, and attracted devoted coverage from CNBC, Bloomberg, CNN, ESPN, and other national outlets. 100% of the funds raised are received by the beneficiary.

TEAM Decathlon is Saturday, July 23rd
Registration fee is $800
Minimum fundraising requirement per team is $8,000
The BOSTON Decathlon does not require the athlete to currently work in financial services. The Decathlon has built in-roads in the financial services community since its founding, therefore, rather than abandoning those relationships, The Decathlon asks Boston’s financial services industry to lead participation alongside its business partners (legal, accounting, consulting, etc), clients (tech, pharma, industrial, etc.), and community members.
