Facing Eviction and Difficult Times
Hi
My name is Steven. I am 22, a father of two beautiful little girls. I live with my fiance and kids in Arizona, and we are going through a really tough time.
After our beautiful second child, Bellatrix, was born, a couple months ago, our family saw a massive reduction in hours at work. The initial few weeks were bearable, but after a little while, our bills began to pile up. My personal hours at work also saw a gradual decrease as the seasonal position got closer to ending.
I applied for job after job, and for every five jobs I applied for, I got maybe one call back. Several times I even managed to get far in the interview process, only to be told that they went with another candidate. I tried to get more hours at work, as did my fiance, but it just didn't cut it.
During this time, I lost my dad, and my best friend's mom and sister. These all came at a time when we already were struggling.
In the time since all of this, both myself and my fiance have gotten new jobs. She, full time, will begin next wek, and I just began a couple of days ago, at my new part time job. However, we were unable to figure a way to get all of the money together. We are already behind on our electric bill, we cut miscelaineous bills we could afford to lose, but we are now 2 days past due on rent, and I fear the notice will be arriving any day. We have half our money for rent as of Friday, but the remaining, plus late fees and the inevitable legal fees, are going to add up as well.
I'm not asking for anybody to dig deep. only what you can afford. every little big helps. I am selling our posessions as quickly as I can, but have had little luck. So every bit, will do wonders. Please, and thank you for helping our family in this tough time.
***OUR GOAL -- Our goal to pay rent is only about $500. The additional 300 is for late fees, and electricity. My priority is the first goal, though, as our appartment is the most important thing right now. ****
