Hi!  We are the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Association at Seton Hall University.  Unfortunately this year due to a lack of funding we are unable to pay for our annual scholarship weekend retreat this fall.  This retreat serves as a leadership and diversity training for the scholars through its workshops, facilitated discussions, and team building exercises centered on the topics of current events, diversity, and social justice.   Since this retreat is so vital to the functioning of our scholarship, we had to cut the budgets drastically for our other programs hosted throughout the academic year in order to properly fund the weekend-long retreat. The honors scholars of MLKSA are held with the highest regard for their standards of academic excellence and leadership through exemplary action, as demonstrated through the caliber of programs they have hosted and put on throughout the years.  Please help to fund this powerful scholarship organization to support their servant leaders so that they can have proper funding for their programs to better themselves, the Seton Hall Community,  the greater communities of South Orange and Newark, New Jersey, as well as their respective home communities.
