Hello, my name is Lori Serafini. I'm Michael Scholtus's niece.
My uncle has left us to go to a better place. Michael led a hard life, never feeling sorry for himself. He was a man who searched for peace and serenity with everything God gifted him with. To give back to my uncle, who so often was a part of my childhood, always looking after my sisters and I, I'm asking for any help you are able to give in order to help us provide my uncle a proper funeral service. Michael was not able to carry life insurance for himself, as many of us know and understand all too well.
He was a wonderful, caring, hard working person who deserves to be put to rest with dignity. He was a father, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and the man of the house with 4 sisters. One of them, my aunt Lenore who we just laid to rest less than 3 months ago from a rare bile cancer.
My hope is that we can give him the funeral that exemplifies all that he was to me and the rest of our family.
I would be so gratful for anything we can do together, for my uncle Mike!
