A brain AVM is a rare malformation of vessels that varies for each person. To my despair, I have beat the odds because I have a large, complex, very deep (next to brain stem) malformation. The chance of sudden death was 86% for me. Luckily I went to the eye doctor to get new frames and they saw my optic nerves swollen. Everything escalated from there. With originally having to get 6 surgeries in the time of several weeks, the symptoms, and positioning of my avm keeps pushing against all my nerves. The pain is unbearable that they have decided to attack this avm aggressively this week. I will begin my biggest war tomorrow. I have my third round of surgery again. Again on Tuesday, and final brain surgery Wensday. With each surgery being tougher than the next, let's hope my body makes it through.
Hi I'm Estefanny Rodriguez!
I'm currently at Medstar Washington DC Hospital in the Neurology ICU unit. I was diagnosed with a brain AVM on Monday, August 1st, 2016. I had an attack of migraines and went to the emergency room on Thursday August 4th, 2016. Been in the hospital ever since. Please watch my video to get informed if you'd like, I'll explain a bit more but I really need help. I have no insurance and each day in the ICU is $8,000 and each surgery is $50,000.
FYI I'm telling you everything from my best understanding, I will add my MRI images when I get the chance. My first of several surgeries is tomorrow August 8th, 2016. I hope to bring you all along my journey.
I thanks the lord for all of his blessings and I thank you all as well.
