On September 4, 2016, my father, Ricardo Valladares, got into a Motorcycle Accident coming home from work, when he was then rushed to Aventura Hospital. For those who don't know how my father rides his motorcycle, he his one of the most safest riders out there because he knows of the danger that could happen; he was cut off from a SUV trying to get on the left lane from five lanes over from the right and from a parking lot and hitting my father. After being rushed to the hospital, he recieved a MRI scan and had the following: A cut in the aorta, fractures on both hands, broken bone on the right leg, rib fractures, neck fractures and his spinal cord cut and prognoised paraplegic. Our whole family was devasted to hear such news. My father was operated on both the aorta and the spinal cord within the first 48-36 hours and he was getting better and was stable. But on Sunday the 11th he had passed for approx. 2 mins and came back due to a gall bladder infection. He came back in critical condition but was stable. We hoped and prayed for the best and he got better each day. He had been in ICU for one month and 20 days (October 20, 2016) before they discharged him to a different hospital for 2 weeks and back to do more/finish surgeries.
Now he has been moved from Aventura to Memorial Regional South Hospital for therapy even though he had just recently got operated on both his right leg and left hand, so there is only so much he could do for therapy.
Before the accident my father was a very athletic type of person, who would always go out for runs and play soccer, which is why he worked for the City of North Miami Parks & Recreational as a Soccer Coach. He had impacted so many lives of the children who came and learned under him and as well as his coworkers who are like family to us.
HOW THE MONEY WILL BE USED:
The money that we recieve for my father will be used to pay the bills, buy groceries, and as well as medical bills, and to accomadate for all the possible many changes that will have to occur for our home for my father.
Even if no donations are made, sharing this and letting as many people know would still mean a lot to us. So please help us spread the word.
