My name is Shannon and I am a friend of the Cummings Family. I am starting ths fund to help the Cummings family during thier time of need. 
On Thursday Sept 1st Josh (who is only 35) started having chest pains and ended up at Stanford Hospital for diagnosis. He was diagnosed with an Aortic Dissection which is a serious condition in which the inner layer of the aorta, the large blood vessel branching off the heart, tears. Blood surges through the tear, causing the inner and middle layers of the aorta to separate (dissect). If the blood-filled channel ruptures through the outside aortic wall, aortic dissection can be fatal if not taken care of sooner than later. Right now he is waiting for surgery and is not able to work, and more than likely will be unable to work for several months. 
Josh is married and has 4 children from ages 3-14. 
I am hoping that the community that he served while  working at Pacific Towing for several years along with family, friends and anyone else who can help will. This money will be used to maintain housing, bills that will (and already are) pilling up along with food and medical expences , along with whatever else is needed to take care of his family. Josh is a kind, thoaughtful, giving man who loves his family dearly . Please ,if you can find it in your heart to help it would  be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced for the love and support.
